Terms of Service
Effective date: October 10, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Preordain, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we," "us"), which operates Receipt Lookup. They govern your use of receiptlookup.com and the Receipt Lookup app, and of the Receipt Lookup Chrome extension once it is available (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. Keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@receiptlookup.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
2. What the Service does
Receipt Lookup imports transactions from the cards you connect. Finding, matching and storing the receipts for them, using your email, merchant accounts you connect, and requests to merchants and point-of-sale providers, is still being built and is not available yet. We work to find as many receipts as possible, but not every receipt can be found, and merchants control whether and how they provide receipts. We don't guarantee that any particular receipt will be found, or found by a particular date.
3. Authorization to act on your behalf
You authorize us, and service providers and contractors working for us, to act as your agent in retrieving receipts for transactions on accounts you connect. This includes:
- accessing the accounts and services you connect, within the permissions you grant;
- contacting merchants, their support teams and their point-of-sale providers to request receipts for your transactions, using an email address we assign to your account;
- providing them the transaction details needed to find your purchases, including card details you supply for that purpose;
- receiving, storing and organizing the receipts and replies they send.
You may revoke this authorization at any time by disconnecting the relevant account or deleting your Receipt Lookup account. Requests already sent to a merchant may still be answered after you revoke it.
4. Your responsibilities
You agree that:
- you connect only accounts, cards and inboxes that you own or are authorized to use, and you're authorized to request receipts for the transactions you submit;
- the information you provide is accurate;
- you won't use the Service to obtain other people's information, commit fraud, or break the law or the rights of others;
- you won't interfere with, reverse engineer, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data.
5. Not financial, tax or legal advice
Receipt Lookup organizes records. It does not provide accounting, tax, legal or financial advice. You're responsible for how you use your receipts, including for expense reports, reimbursement and tax filings, and for confirming that they meet your needs.
6. Fees
Some features may require payment. We'll show prices and billing terms before you're charged. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change prices with advance notice. Changes apply to your next billing period.
7. Your content
Your receipts, transactions and other data remain yours. You grant us a limited license to host, process, copy and transmit them only as needed to provide, secure and improve the Service, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can ask us for a copy of your data at any time by emailing support@receiptlookup.com.
8. Our property
The Service, including its software, design and the Receipt Lookup name and logo, belongs to Preordain, Inc. and its licensors. We give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose while these terms are in effect. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.
9. Third-party services
The Service connects with services we don't control, such as Plaid and Google. As receipt-finding features become available, it will also connect with merchants and point-of-sale providers. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. We aren't responsible for their availability, accuracy or conduct.
10. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the Service at any time, and you can delete your account by emailing support@receiptlookup.com. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms, if your use creates risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we stop offering the Service. Where reasonable, we'll give you notice and a chance to ask for a copy of your data. Sections 5, 7 (as to our rights to handle data during deletion), 8, 11, 12, 13 and 14 survive termination.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR WILL FIND OR CORRECTLY MATCH ANY RECEIPT.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PREORDAIN, INC. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR REIMBURSEMENTS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR $100.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Preordain, Inc. against claims arising from your violation of these terms or your use of accounts, cards or inboxes you weren't authorized to use.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing a claim, each party agrees to try to resolve the dispute informally for 30 days by contacting the other.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes, we'll notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept them.
16. General
These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision isn't a waiver. You may not assign these terms without our consent. We may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
